AMY SCHUMER TAKES HER FASHION CRED TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH THE NEW CLOTHING LINE LE CLOUD
Two years ago, actress and comedian Amy Schumer switched lives with VogueEditor in Chief Anna Wintour. For one day, the I Feel Pretty star traded in her jokes and jabs to sit behind a desk, sunglasses on, and run a magazine. Despite the cheeky script, it was her introduction to a career in fashion. Now, she’s pushing further into the field with a very unscripted, very real sartorial pursuit. Today, she and her business partner and friend, stylist Leesa Evans, announced that they will officially launch their new women’s clothing line, Le Cloud, at Saks Off 5th on December 13. The 23-piece collection is made up of comfortable, wearable separates in neutral shades that will be available from $38 to $248. The most important aspect of Le Cloud is the sizing, which runs from a 0 or XS to a 20 or XXL. Schumer and Evans’s goal for this venture was, as they told the press, to give women an everyday wardrobe that made them feel good and look good at the same time. The fabrics, like crepe and satin, work for every body type and are “as light as a cloud,” hence the name.
